How..

..things can grow fast and beautifully

Two and a half year ago: I just started to cook for the students in a little school.
Then it became the coworkers around as well, the staff, the neighbours.
Then groups and more groups.
Then at the headquarter of KPN, a few miles away from the school.
Brought by 'bakfiets':-)
Then, more groups.
Some parties.
More groups.
Then another company, every week 800 fresh meals.
Then a conference.
More groups.
Another conference.
And now, while I'm typing this, I got the question a day ago: are you able to cook for 1000 people, five days in a row, lunch and dinner? So: five times 2000 meals? 10.000 Dishes. If I can handle a conference with this many attandees?
YES. Sure. Looking really forward!

LEMLEM
is the name of my company.
What I do? I love to cook.
And that is what I do for great organisations and companies. Places where people work together on beautiful things.
Also events like conferences, workshops and party's (no matter the size) I like to facilitate. With fresh, vega(n) and organic food. As long I stand behind it's purpose.
LEMLEM is an Eritrean word, meaning 'fresh'. Beautiful people of Eritrea learnt me a lot in their kitchens and that's why I always work with fresh and LOTS OF herbs and spices.
The warm meals are always vegetarian or vegan. Next to that I also have a lot of wheat-free menus.
About events: I can cater for almost any kind of event, as long I like the purpose. When interested; get in touch and we'll see what is possible.
Next to this I love to offer fresh lunches to organizations and companies to my heart. Enjoy the savory, enticing scents of sautéed onions, baked ginger, fresh spices & herbs on your workspace again — and experience the joy of eating freshly prepared foods. Together. I like to turn the kitchen area in a great, lively space. To make it the heart of the place.
Fresh meals are really healthy. Not only the ingredients make it healthy, but also the fact that it's freshly prepared. When our bodies have ample time to smell the foods we will later consume, it allow us to prepare for and deeply enjoy our meals.
It is promoting health, happiness, well-being and good digestion. More important than we often consider.
In our busy lives, this is a luxury we too rarely experience or appreciate, and can make lunchtime something everyone looks forward to.
So. Let me know when you want to bring in this important change in your company. I like to talk about the many posibilities; how we can work together to make it happen.
Let's not undervalue the importance of good food and a healthy food culture. It's one of the very basic 'ingredients' to let you & your team thrive.
Me and my team love to facilitate in this way!

In Between

During a conference or workshop the best bits happen often in between the talks. Over the dinner or lunch you often fall into a good conversation with a fellow attendee.
Isn't it all about the people you meet, the conversations you have and the things you exchange?

To facilitate this.
That's my job with my cooking.
And it's GREAT.
So happy to do!

Soup

What started two years ago with a big pot of simple lentil-soup on the table for the Knowmads' students, now suddenly grew out  into a business:)
All of a sudden I was even being asked to cook for the minister of foreign affairs and the 'top' (notice the quotation marks) of the biggest NGO's here in the netherlands, Unesco and Unicef. In two weeks. A rather big event what I'll take hosting & catering-wise on my own.
Kind of funny!
I like cooking, I see food having a huge role in our well-being. In our health; of both body and mind.
So. I made a website ; far but perfect but hopefully clear enough.
Happy to host and cater large groups (100-300 people). I can handle one or two this size a month. Smaller groups also of course.
Let me know if you have or know someone who might be interested, and share the word if you like.
Cause it is great to do things which don't feel like work. Thanks!
